FOR ONCE I WOKE UP EARLY!
As G-Dragon’s O2 Priority tickets were going up for sale at 10am, I walked pass my shocked-to-see-meoffice manager at 9:45 - actually first time this month that I manage to get in IN TIME.
When the tickets went LIVE the only options available were Standing or Seated. Wait! Where are the VIP tickets?! Confused, panicked, I went to Facebook to ask O2, and their impeccable customer service sends me the proper link to buy tickets.
The tension is big as I select my ticket choice. My project runner comes by to discuss about what I have been working on yesterday but I just can not… I’m looking at my card, at my screen, nodding and saying “Yeah, I got it!” … he gives up trying to talk to me fast and leaves a bit annoyed - Did I mention we have a deadline tomorrow? Yup … panic high on all fronts today.
Finally at 10:15 I got my ticket…
SILVER VIP
… Turns out I was right! I did get my ticket in my home city… (If you don’t know what I am on about click HERE) Guess now I have to go outside scream and then go back to my project runner, say sorry and make it up to him by putting 200% effort at work today ~~ ^-^

There was no indication as to where exactly on the seating chart those sections are and they overlap, but I think it will probably be something like this:
No idea how they will allocate the rows and seats. Maybe a first come first serve basis?
I have been in the venue before and the arena is not that big. Looked up my previous tickets and I was seated in Block N8, row H. You can see in the image that it is in the grand tier and slightly closer to the stage than the middle point of the arena. The view was perfect. You could see the singers on the stage and I remember thinking at the time that it felt quite close.

EXPENSIVE ?
It keeps popping up on social media. Everyone is complaining about the ticket prices. They are quite expensive, especially compared to the other K-pop acts that came to London, but lets face it, G-Dragon is the CHANEL of K-pop (pun intended - click here if you are confused). Even people that have nothing to do with K-pop have told me they heard of him! He is probably the most known K-pop act worldwide, of course, after Psy.
Also, lets remember that PEACEMINUSONE fur case for your pack of cigarets at $637.68 that comes in 8 different colours and are all SOLD OUT… Who even needs a case for their pack of cigarets ?! Expensive tickets?…Not surprised, as everything G-Dragon touches sells like gold... (For those less familiar with PEACEMINUSONE - it is G-Dragon’s own Brand)
CHOOSING A VIP TICKET
Having a hard time deciding which type of VIP ticket to get? This is why I went for the Silver VIP and not GOLD VIP:
I first asked myself: what does Gold get over Silver?
- A photo on stage with other VIPs (GD not there)
Wait wait… so I am taking a photo with an empty stage and some random people? Think I can skip this.
- Early entry before Silver
Ok, fair enough, still not worth it for the price difference though. Been to a concert and first row / second row are really not a big difference. Still get a sweet spot.
Gold VIP wristband
A wristband worth £125 ? If it were actually made out of gold maybe!
Send off the artist post show at the G Dragon send off event
Now, this one did get me conflicted. If it is something like an after party, damn that’s nice! But what it sounds more like is the exit hallway, Gold VIPs either side, tons of security holding people back while G-Dragon is passing and waving.

PEACEMINUSONE launch at Dover Street Market
G-Dragon passing while a DSM sales assistant was pushing my hand in which I was holding my phone, filming. It happened so fast that if I didn’t have that video I would have no proof it happened as I can’t remember anything. Plus the guy hurt my arm even though I was not pushing to get closer. I was behaving, being really nice.

A photo with no G-Dragon, EE, a plastic wristband and a 15 seconds close glance at G-Dragon that I won’t even probably remember. Plus spending a lot of money on my Hong Kong ticket as I wasn’t expecting him to come to London. Right, I’ll pass on the Gold VIP this time… GD! Next time please let Europe know in advance about your plans, please.
