CRUSH ON YOU TOUR 'WONDERLUST' IN LONDON

THE FIRST IN A ROW OF HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EVENTS

It is no secret that Crush's concert was SOLD OUT and that there were more fans in London than anyone expected. So much more that a second date has been provided to cope with the demand after even the extra tickets to the after party sold out as fast as you could say CRUSH.

But it came a bit as a surprise as 10 minutes before the concert start, the queue in front of the venue was still wrapping all the way around the building.

SCALA - A PLACE TO GET LOST

When finally getting inside, the venue was so crowded it was hard to get a glimpse of the stage. For those not familiar with Scala, the space offered some options including a series of balconies which could be reached after getting lost in a series of maze-like staircases.

Basically running, glasses in hand, trying to get the right way, and not stumble down the stairs we get to the highest balcony just as the first beats sound through the speakers and Crush appears on stage.

From the first second, the crowd goes wild! Everyone is singing, dancing, screaming. But we are a bit of out of luck as from the highest balcony our view was a bit blocked by the light hanging from the ceiling, so here we go back to the maze, trying to find our way to one of the other balconies.

GETTING UP CLOSE TO THE STAGE

Almost taking a wrong turn and ending backstage in Crush's changing room, we finally end up in the pit, in the middle of the crowd. And we stare is awe for a few seconds. Excitement is truly palpable. Some girls behind us can't seem to believe their eyes.

They are here, close to him. He can hear them, they can finally say those words they have been dying to let him know. High pitched screams ecco all around the venue. 오빠! 오빠, 사랑해!! 사랑해요!!!! (tr: Oppa, I love you!) It is possible that some of them were truly crying.

SURVIVING CLOSE TO THE STAGE AT THE CONCERT

Standing in the pit is no easy job. As finding yourself in a sea of people, you must be ready to the sudden reactions to those around you. The sea waves would move as if Crush was the moon and gravitated towards him every time he would get close. The love of his fans for him is impressive and deep. No matter what, everyone wanted to be as close as possible to him.

However, the packed crowd inside the venue also meant that however freezing it was outside, the temperature inside rose to 100 degrees. Which :

a. Caused Crush to feel hot and take off a few layers of his outfit

and

b. Got the crowd hoping to see him shirtless and tried to get him to do so by chanting "take it off" when he was left only with his T-shirt on.

But this also meant

c. Fainting was imminent. And one girl in the front row did faint.

As the security was rushing towards her and picked her up to her feet and bought her to the side of the stage, Crush was looking a bit shocked.  He stopped the music and kept saying "Oh my God…". It was the moment that proved that his love for his fans is as deep as theirs. He was not only shocked by the event, but also really worried.

He did not start the music again until he personally went to the girl to check if she is ok and hugged her. ( Which might have caused her feeling like fainting again. Pointless to say other fans were also wondering if they should faint or not if that's the treat you get to feel better.)

DID YOU KNEW CRUSH WAS SUCH A ROMANTIC?

Helped by a translator, he addressed a few words to the fans speaking about how he feels so inspired since getting here, how he liked London and would like to live here someday, but more importantly he told a story about 'Wanderlust'.

2411

The song's title comes from the bus Crush used to ride every day when he was a trainee. Also, the song was inspired by those memories of riding the bus everyday and he even wanted to ride it one more time after writing the song, but that bus route doesn't exist anymore.

Crush also prepared a letter in english for his UK fans. He talked about his love for soccer and how he is an English Premier League fan and about how he heard London knows how to party. One lucky fan did get the letter as he threw it into the crowd for a fan to catch and cherish it as their prized memory and possession from the show.

THE ANTICIPATED SURPRISE OF THE NIGHT

Maybe it was meant as a surprise, but it was more of an anticipated moment of the night. After Dean made his presence in London known, everyone had their bets on him coming to the concert to join Crush for a couple of songs.

This did not make it easy to take in for the fans. The moment Dean joined Crush on stage, the crowd went nuts. Not sure how it was even possible, but the screams got even louder as the fans were ecstatic (pretty sure we heard someone they this is their happiest moment in life).

Probably, the best surprise was that of a few lucky fans that came a bit late to the after party and bumped into Dean outside the venue as he was on his way out as well.

CRUSH COMING BACK NEXT YEAR?

Despite every person's in the crowd wish, the concert could not go on forever. However, Crush reassured everyone that he will come back next year and asked his fans not to cry. (If that isn't sweet I don't know what is.)

Even so, the fans still wanted more and chanted 'Encore' after he left the stage. Disappointed for the moment, everyone headed out and waited for the after party to start.
